Which PCB terminal-block fields must match before you compare offers?

Match the terminal block to the board interface before comparing offers. Record pitch, position count, pin layout, mounting process and connection direction, then retain electrical ratings with their stated conditions. A familiar housing or a nearby pitch is not evidence of a drop-in replacement. Use the maker drawing for the named reference and obtain engineering confirmation for any substitute; sourcing evidence alone cannot approve an electrical design.

When this route fits

Use this when a PCB terminal block must fit a specific board interface. Compare its drawing, pitch, pin layout, wire entry, mounting process and condition-scoped ratings before an engineer considers a substitute.

Use this to prepare requirements and evidence questions. It does not contact suppliers, obtain a formal quotation, certify a factory or approve a substitute.

Minimum buyer brief

Required reference and drawing; board interface; poles/rows; mounting; rating conditions; quantity unit.

Buyer input, source evidence and exclusion criteria
FieldBuyer inputEvidence checkReject or unknown
pitchRecord the exact required spacing and drawing reference.Compare the maker drawing with the board interface.Nearby5.0/5.08mm labels do not prove interchangeability.
positions and rowsSpecify number of positions, rows and connections.Do not count a product photo as a particular configured variant.Wrong pole count is a hard mismatch.
pin layout and dimensionsRecord pin arrangement, pin dimensions and required board geometry.Use the dimensional drawing for the exact part.Same external housing does not establish same pinning.
mounting processState the buyer-required mounting/solder process.Retain the product-specific process description.Do not assume all terminal blocks support the same process.
connection directionState wire entry orientation and mechanical constraints.Check the reference-specific geometry. An obstructed or reversed interface is not a permitted substitute.
condition-scoped ratingsRecord rating plus the conditions and documentation named by the maker.Preserve different condition-scoped values without choosing the largest.Do not detach a voltage/current value from its conditions.

Exclude or resolve

Reject near-pitch or different pinning as drop-in; do not detach voltage from its stated conditions or infer approval from a housing badge.

Questions to copy into a supplier enquiry

Does the drawing match the exact footprint? Is the mounting process supported? Which rating conditions and model-scoped documents apply?

Keep quantity and price on the same basis

Keep currency, original unit, requested quantity, SKU, quantity tier and observation date together. A listing is dated commercial evidence; a supplier-confirmed quotation is a separate response for your order. Unknown pack conversion, MOQ waiver, inventory, freight or tax stays unknown.

Read evidence without upgrading it

BUYER_STATED is explicit buyer input. SOURCE_OBSERVED records a dated source; DERIVED labels an interpretation. OBSERVED does not mean SUPPLIER_CONFIRMED. Missing facts stay UNKNOWN; TO_CONFIRM names the next question.

References and their limits

Review a brief before any purchase

Free preparation does not purchase a check or contact suppliers. Image Stripe USD 2.99 and text/model x402 2.99 USDC are separate paid routes. Image x402 and text/model Stripe are OFF in the dated observation; live admission is authoritative. The proposed $19.90 RFQ service is not open for purchase.
